After several quilt blocks, I was in need of some stitching time. This project is last year Stitch Me CLub by l'Atelier Perdu .
I started this project a while ago and had left part 2 unfinished when I picked up some quilting.... but that was before my New Year's resolution ;-) One project or part of a project at a time. So it was time to finish this part.
I chose the recommended threads and even gave a try to Natalie's suggestion : stitching it on 40-count linen in tent stitch. This is really tiny but sooooo nice. Not very creative you might say but I trust Natalie entirely and like her color palette very much. Moreover I really love miniature samplers.
Next time I'll work on this project, I'll do part 3 entirely and that means that Campagne Française part 2 and Reiko Kato's block 2 will be finished.
Until later,

A really lovely sampler and indeed so nice on 40ct. My friend is stitching it too and cannot wait to seeit;))
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy Easter;))
ReplyDeleteI've always found the smaller the stitch, the more a stitchery rewards you. Yours is looking wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitching! It looks stunning as it is!
ReplyDeleteVery well done!
Have a lovely Easter week!
Greetings
It's exquisite, David! Have a very Happy Easter.
ReplyDeleteOh David, that's a very nice sampler you've been stitching! I would like to stitch this sampler for myself on Italian churchlinen (19 threads/cm, one over one) but when I tried to order the chart from L'Atelier perdu I found out that it's no longer available, sigh :-(
ReplyDeleteI live in the Netherlands and my French is not good enough to write them a letter to ask them if there are other ways to buy the chart. Do you have a suggestion?
Maria (from Maastricht)
No, Maria, I don't have a solution. These clubs are only available for a certain period of time. But the good news is that there will be another Stitch Me Club ;-)
ReplyDeleteCe sampler est adorable et délicat. Tu as joliment avancé.
ReplyDeleteJe te souhaite aussi une Joyeuse Pâques avec ta petite famille.
This is a wonderful pattern stitched in wonderful colors. Funny... as I also felt that it was about time do do some stitching again, I ordered a pattern and threads only just yesterday. Happy Easter to you and your family, David.
ReplyDeleteVery nice stitching!
ReplyDeleteI love the sampler, I haven't started it yet.
But I certainly do that also on 40ct. 1 over 1.
Have a Happy Easter, Evelyne
I am in awe of your stitching David, lovely work and such a beautiful pattern.
ReplyDeleteI love your miniature sampler ! You are halfway through, keep up the good work :-)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, David! I set mine aside as well and need to pick it back up. Yours is looking beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNadine
