Lady Jane's Garden Needle Case

The needle case is now finished.

I am very happy with how it turned out.

I used an antique fabric I had in my stash for the needle page inside. I am not happy with the way I attached it though. If you have any suggestion on how to attach it neatly, please let me know ;-) I think I will do that part again.

Well, I guess that you want to see the photos ...

There are still three other accesories I need to finish before lining the basket.

Until later,

  2. Your piece is absolutely stunning! I think that it looks perfect. As far as the needlepage goes, perhaps you can blind hem it in - like the binding of a quilt. That way you would not see any stitches.

  4. David, Your needle case is absolutely beautiful. You should be very proud of it. I like the hand sewing, it looks very nice. My only suggestion if you really must re-do it is to make smaller stitches that are closer together. I think it would hold the fabric down more with out gapping. For what little bit of tension that will be on the fabric, I think it is perfect and if it were me I wouldn't re-do it. Thanks for sharing your piece.

  6. David, your needle case is perfect, absolutely beautiful. I think your stitching is fine and I love the fabric you have chosen. You are so talented, but I have said that before...your work is beyond my ability so I always enjoy seeing your projects and still cannot get over that you are a man who is so talented!! Have a lovely weekend, Ann ps. I would not take the stitches out and start again, if you do however, please send me this one and just start again ~ LOL

  10. Magnifique David, you have excelled yourself!! It's stunning and the finishing is just perfect.
Just an idea on how to fasten your needle page, try some antique buttons to fasten it with on the top 3 or 4.
    I am impressed:))
