Don't you love reaching that stage ? I do!!
Working on one project at a time definitely makes a difference! Thanks to this resolution I have managed to finish quilting and binding my quilt top in no time.
Quilting is a relaxing process for me. I love creating this special textured surface both on the back and the front.
I have the same feeling when I quilt and when I run. After a little while, I feel like in a state of meditation.
Sometimes, it is very useful, especially while running, as inconsciously my mind prepares class topic ideas and when back home, I just have to type everything on my computer! Like that very much!!
When quilting, I don't know what I dream about, but I feel well and happy. I have discovered how much working with my hands is important.
But enough talking, as I'm sure you'd rather have a look at the photos ;-)
Last but not least, I want to thank Natalie for creating such a charming quilt.
Needless to say that I love this quilt!!! Hope you do too ;-)
A new Quilt Me Club project starts on January 30. I have already signed up for it ;-)
Until later,
PS : Due to numerous spams received lately, I set up the code identification and commentaries moderation on the blog again. Really sorry for the inconvenience.

I love it!superbe travail!
ReplyDeleteHello David, I agree with you, it is much easier to work on one project at a time, unfortunately I have not done that! Your quilt is stunning, I love the fabrics you have used, and your quilting is absolutely beautiful. I find walking and quilting give me a sense of peace and calmness. I also could not resist signing up for Natalie's new 2013 quilt project. I have 4 works in progress that I intend to have completed by the end of the year. All the best, Ann
ReplyDeleteThat's such a sweet finish - congrats!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous David, you are a master quilter. NJ is a wonderful designer, I dare however not sign up yet, to many ufo's!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week!
Oooh David, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your handquilting ! So fabulous !! Working on one project at a time does make a difference ! Your check binding is a most excellent choice.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on this finishing !! I feel so honoured when I see my designs so beautifully completed.
Can't wait to start the next project with you :-)
Your quilt is so beautiful. I really love it.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt and your quilting looks wonderful, such beautiful stitches. I know what you mean, I have the same with quilting, great for the mind. As for running.... I am afraid not, but I guess I should do that to make up for all those hours sitting down and doing patchwork, applique and quilting. You see there is another problem... I also should work on one project at a time, instead of 3...or 4 ...or 5.. I can learn a lot from you :-)!
Gorgeous work, David, and so lovely to see what you are doing.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful rendition of this design.
Waou !
ReplyDeleteEt ensuite? Que nous prépares-tu?
Beauuuutifull! Well done! Your pictures give me something to dream about - quilting! We are on holiday, and I long for my quilting frame... And the organized way to work is so efficient - and something I wish to strive for. Saludos, U
Perfect! If I was a jealous person I would really envy you for this extraordinary and professional quilting. I never manage to make such tiny stitches.
Beautiful David. I love to read how you feel about running and quilting. when I ride on my bicycle I have the same feel. and what I feel when I quilt is a kind of back to basic. Don't know how to explain exactly but maybe you understand.
ReplyDeleteYou took great pictures of you work.
Papa, ce n'est pas que quand tu cours que tu es dans un "state of meditation" !!! Loulou ;)
ReplyDeleteFabulous quilting! It's perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love the check binding.Beautiful pictures also!
Have nice weekend, Evelyne
Bravo David, il est magnifique.
ReplyDeleteSee you in Brouage, in Mai.

merci.
DeleteAbsolutely charming quilt!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your finish!
Hugs,
Tatyana
Oh this is so lovely.
ReplyDeleteLiebe Grüße Grit
Beautiful finish David, as always. I have just signed up for the new Quilt me Club too - you are right, one project at a time gets results - but I seem never to be able to stick to my resolve to do that - hence several unfinished items on the go at the same time - oh well, keeps me busy - and happy!
ReplyDeleteKind regards,
Christine R.
David, I love the quilt and your stitching is amazing!
Sylvie
It's looking gorgeous, congratulations
ReplyDeleteSuperbe travail David ! :-)
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is beautiful. The quilting looks very nice.
ReplyDeleteGroetjes
Annemieke
