Nantes 2016. The Japanese Quilts exhibition.

The Japanese quilts were extraordinary. The workmanship to make thess quilts is incredible. If you want to pay attention to details, you can spend the four days looking for them and you will not have seen them all!! As for the handquilting, I have no words to describe it. It is definitely humbling to see such beautiful quilts.
You will see photos of taupe fabrics quilts and indigo quilts but the Japanese quilters know how to use color and modern fabrics... with the Japanese touch. What surprised me is the use of numerous pieces of fabrics with writings on them. Look closely at the photos and you will see them.

Enjoy.
